Gospel music fans and loved ones came together in Ibadan to say their final goodbyes to popular singer Bolaji Olanrewaju, known as Big Bolaji. He was laid to rest at the All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan.
Big Bolaji died on April 19 after a short illness. He was 50 years old when he passed away, leaving behind a strong legacy in gospel music.
His burial ceremony began on Wednesday, with many people coming to honor his life. Family members, close friends, and well-known gospel artists attended the events.
The farewell started at the Hall of Grace, located inside Jogor Centre, where his body was displayed for a lying-in-state and a memorial service was held in his honor.
Some of the gospel artists who came to pay their respects included Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, and Yetunde Are. Comedian Woli Agba and other fans also joined in saying goodbye.
After the service, a funeral procession took place, leading to the All Souls Private Cemetery where Big Bolaji was finally buried.
At the graveside, his wife, siblings, and loved ones gathered to say their last words and honor his memory in a deeply emotional moment.
Big Bolaji will always be remembered for his powerful voice and the joy he brought through gospel music.
