Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes rejects £200million offer to join Saudi giants Al-Hilal

Bruno Fernandes, captain of Manchester United, has declined a lucrative £200 million deal proposed by Saudi football club Al-Hilal. The offer was an attempt to lure him away from the Premier League giants.

The Saudi Pro League team had been keen on signing Fernandes in recent weeks. They reportedly engaged directly with his representatives to negotiate the terms of the deal.

Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, reportedly spent three days at Riyadh’s Four Seasons Hotel last week. During this time, he held in-person discussions with Al-Hilal officials regarding the proposed contract.

The Saudi club was prepared to offer a three-year contract worth £200 million, with a potential transfer fee of around £100 million to Manchester United.

Part of the enticing offer included a significant wage increase. Fernandes’ weekly earnings would have risen from £280,000 to a tax-free £700,000.

Despite the tempting terms, reports on Tuesday revealed that Fernandes has decided to reject the offer.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the midfielder’s decision. The Portuguese star wants to continue competing at the highest level of European football.
