Senator Adams Oshiomhole has said that political sins cannot lead anyone to hellfire. He made the remark during the Edo State APC congress in Benin City while responding to comments about forgiveness within the party.
Oshiomhole dismissed past claims that he once said politicians who join APC have their sins forgiven. According to him, politics naturally comes with disagreements and mistakes that are temporary in nature.
He spoke while reacting to an apology from the newly elected Edo APC chairman, Jarret Tenebe, who asked members to forgive him if he offended anyone while serving as acting chairman. Oshiomhole said everyone on earth is a sinner, and political wrongs do not carry eternal consequences.
Tenebe also admitted that internal tensions existed during key political periods in the state but maintained that his actions were in the party’s best interest. He called for unity and reconciliation as the APC moves forward in Edo State.
