Nigeria’s fight against corruption is far from over, but there is strong hope for victory. In an Easter message, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reassured citizens that corruption does not define the nation and will not defeat it. The agency encouraged Nigerians to stay hopeful and committed to building a better country.
Speaking in Abuja, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede reminded the public that Easter represents victory after hardship. He explained that just as Easter symbolizes triumph over suffering, Nigeria too can overcome the challenges of corruption through determination and unity.
He stressed that the country’s current struggles are only temporary and should not shape its future. According to him, Nigeria has the strength to rise above corruption and move forward stronger than before.
Olukoyede also called on citizens to continue supporting the fight against financial crimes. He emphasized that defeating corruption requires effort from both institutions and the public, making it a shared responsibility.
The EFCC’s message is clear: with patience, unity, and persistence, Nigeria can overcome corruption and build a future defined by integrity and progress.
