Transfer: Wolves turn down Besiktas’ €15m offer for Arokodare

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly rejected a €15 million offer from Turkish giants Besiktas for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare. The English Premier League club is said to be holding out for a much higher fee as interest in the forward continues to grow.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Wolves are demanding between €25 million and €30 million before they will consider letting Arokodare leave. The club believes the striker still has strong value and potential, especially after investing heavily to bring him in just last summer.

Besiktas are eager to sign a new striker following the departure of Tammy Abraham, who recently completed a move to Aston Villa. This urgency pushed the Turkish side to make an early bid for Arokodare, but Wolves’ firm stance has stalled negotiations for now.

Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian club KRC Genk for around €26 million. Since arriving at Molineux, the 25-year-old has scored four goals and registered one assist in 22 appearances across all competitions, showing steady improvement in his debut season.
