The Adatan divisional Police Officer arrested a suspected ritualist for illegally possessing a human head on June 24, 2024, at around 3:50 PM.

Nojeem Balogun, who lives near Iyana Cele Car Wash in Abeokuta, reported to the police station that on June 23, 2024, at approximately 8:00 AM, one of his siblings noticed unusual activities at their deceased father’s grave in Isale Itoko, Abeokuta.

Upon inspection, Balogun discovered that his father’s head had been removed by unknown individuals. Further investigations revealed that Lekan Akinyemi was responsible for digging up the grave and severing the head.

Akinyemi was caught in the act and the case was handed over to the Anti-Robbery unit for investigation before being transferred to the State CID.
