Former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, says Nigeria is in deeper trouble than when Tinubu assumed office in 2023.
Speaking on Trust TV on Tuesday, Baba-Ahmed said the country is facing escalating violence, worsening security, and economic challenges.
He noted that President Tinubu had promised to end insecurity, improve living conditions, and make Nigeria safer, but these goals remain unfulfilled.
Baba-Ahmed lamented that the magnitude and impact of violence on citizens are unprecedented three years into Tinubu’s administration.
He also criticized the timing of the President’s recent UK state visit, describing it as insensitive given recent attacks in Borno State.
The former adviser urged urgent attention to security and governance to protect Nigerians and restore public confidence.
