The Osun Amotekun has confirmed a violent attack on its Egbedore Local Government command in Awo, Osun State.

The incident, which happened on Monday evening, left several personnel injured and led to the theft of firearms.

According to the agency, the crisis began when a civilian ran to the office seeking safety after being chased by suspected hoodlums.

Amotekun officers reportedly intervened to protect the victim, but the attackers later returned in larger numbers to launch a coordinated assault.

During the attack, the facility was vandalised, security was breached, and the victim was reportedly assaulted again within the premises.

Authorities confirmed that five suspects have been arrested, while efforts continue to track down others involved in the incident.
