The Jigawa State government has announced plans to vaccinate over 1.5 million children against Polio.
The exercise is part of efforts to protect children and eliminate the spread of the disease across the state.
Health officials said the campaign will target children under five years, who are most vulnerable to polio infection.
Authorities also called on parents and guardians to ensure their children are available for the vaccination.
The programme is expected to involve health workers moving from house to house to reach as many children as possible.
Officials believe the initiative will strengthen the fight against polio and improve child health outcomes in the state.
