Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission took control of the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, on Tuesday.
The EFCC blocked access to Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street, restricting movement in the area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the agency arrived in about five buses and immediately sealed off the neighbourhood.
Residents and visitors could not enter or leave as operatives maintained a heavy security presence.
No official statement has been released regarding the purpose of the operation or any ongoing investigation.
The move has drawn attention across Abuja, highlighting the EFCC’s active role in investigating high-profile individuals.
