Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has pointed out two major concerns that could affect Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge this season. Speaking during an analysis of the title race, Ferdinand said Arsenal have improved a lot but still show weaknesses that could cost them at crucial moments.
The first issue Ferdinand highlighted is Arsenal’s struggle to stay consistent against smaller teams. According to him, dropping points in games they are expected to win could hurt their chances, especially when competing against experienced title contenders like Manchester City.
His second concern is the squad’s depth and ability to cope with injuries. Ferdinand noted that Arsenal rely heavily on a few key players, and any long-term absence could reduce their sharpness during the demanding final stages of the season.
Despite these worries, Ferdinand praised Mikel Arteta for the progress he has made at the club. He added that Arsenal are still strong contenders but must fix these issues quickly if they want to go all the way and lift the Premier League trophy.
