China has no plan to invade Taiwan in 2027 — US intelligence report

A new US intelligence report says China is not planning to invade Taiwan in 2027, despite rising tensions between both sides.

According to the assessment, Chinese leaders are focusing on achieving unification without using military force and have no fixed timeline for action.

In recent years, China has increased military pressure around Taiwan, raising global concerns about a possible conflict in the region.

However, the report noted that a full invasion would be very risky and difficult, especially if the United States decides to intervene.

Reacting to the findings, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said Taiwan remains an internal issue and urged the US to avoid exaggerating threats.

The report also explained that China sees unification with Taiwan as a long-term goal tied to its national vision for 2049, rather than an immediate plan.
