NYSC sanctions 32 corps members, as 29 abscond in Osun

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State has sanctioned 32 corps members following various infractions during their service year. In addition, 29 corps members were reported to have absconded from the scheme without proper clearance, prompting disciplinary action.

According to NYSC officials, the sanctions were imposed to uphold discipline and ensure compliance with the rules of the youth service. The absconding corps members are being tracked, and appropriate measures are being taken against them as per the NYSC regulations.

The NYSC management emphasized that adherence to the scheme’s regulations is critical to maintaining the integrity of the national service program. They urged all corps members to carry out their duties responsibly and warned that similar violations would attract strict consequences.

Officials also highlighted that the scheme aims to instill discipline, national unity, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians, and any actions that compromise these objectives will be addressed promptly.
