Demolished Lekki Expressway Property Belongs To Skyewise Group Not Ola Of Lagos

The management of Skyewise Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate known for excellence in auto sales and services, has clarified that the demolished property along the Lekki Expressway belonged fully to the company — not to popular influencer Ola of Lagos.

According to a statement by the company’s CEO, Dr. Elvis L. Abuyere, the demolition happened over the weekend as part of the Lagos State Government’s effort to open access routes for new waterway developments. He noted that several car lots along the Lekki axis, including the Skyewise Group office at Lekki Phase 1, were affected.

Dr. Abuyere described the demolition as “sad and unfortunate” but maintained that the company remains resilient and forward-looking. He announced that Skyewise Group is already making plans to establish a new and upgraded facility to continue serving its customers and partners better.

Clearing the air on ownership, the CEO explained that while the property was leased in part to Ola of Lagos for car hire and content creation purposes, the land and building are wholly owned by Skyewise Group. He added that all government approvals, building permits, and environmental levies for the property were duly secured from the relevant Lagos State authorities.

Dr. Abuyere thanked the company’s clients, partners, and supporters for their encouragement during this period, assuring them that Skyewise Group will emerge stronger and more innovative in the coming months. The company also promised to release copies of its licenses and permits soon to further clarify its position.
