Families of hostages held in Gaza have asked the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize, recognizing his role in negotiating a hostage exchange deal. 

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, representing many of the Israeli hostages’ relatives, sent a letter urging the committee to honor Trump for his “determination to bring peace” and efforts to bring captives home. 

They argued that Trump has moved from just speaking about peace to achieving it, and that his recent ceasefire and exchange deals make him deserving of the award.
