The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Samsideen Oladiti, popularly known as Shamelon, a 55-year-old Lagos Island NURTW boss, over allegations of murder and assault.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, Oladiti was taken into custody following two separate violent incidents. On September 17, 2025, he allegedly assaulted a dispatch rider with a helmet and his fists, leaving the victim with serious injuries. The rider was rushed to the hospital and placed on oxygen, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The police further revealed that a separate complaint linked Oladiti to an earlier attack that occurred on August 28, 2025. In that case, he allegedly struck a man multiple times on the head and face with a metallic ring. Despite medical treatment, the victim later died on September 17, 2025. His remains have been deposited in the mortuary for an autopsy.

The suspect is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba, where a discreet investigation is ongoing.
