Supporters of Governor Siminalayi Fubara trooped to the VIP wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State, on Thursday, September 19, to await his arrival. The governor is expected back in the state following the lifting of the emergency rule by President Bola Tinubu.

While the Rivers State House of Assembly resumed sitting earlier in the day, Governor Fubara did not appear at the complex, leaving his supporters to shift their focus to the airport. The gathering reflects the strong anticipation among his loyalists as he prepares to resume his duties officially in the state.
