Isaac Fayose has made a serious claim that his brother, Ayo Fayose, and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, are working together to get him arrested.
This comes not long after Isaac said publicly that his brother, a former Ekiti State governor, no longer has any political value in the state.
Isaac, who is known for speaking out on political issues, recently criticized the N39 billion Wike spent to renovate the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja. He visited the renovated ICC and demanded that Wike explain how the money was used.
In a video shared on Sunday night, Isaac, who is currently abroad visiting his family, said he believes both Wike and Ayo Fayose are behind plans to arrest him. However, he said he’s not afraid of their plans and is ready for whatever comes.
He also revealed that he has contacted the Code of Conduct Bureau and the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Valuers. He wants them to check the value of the renovated ICC.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Isaac said that those trying to scare his mother and family are wasting their time. He asked why they didn’t arrest him when he was in Nigeria. He promised to return home after spending time with his family, insisting that he won’t run away.
Isaac vowed to make sure the renovation of ICC is investigated. He said even if it is not done now, the next government will look into it. He added that he has already taken steps to push for accountability, and he is ready to fund the valuation process himself.
Isaac also mentioned that he will investigate other projects like the Ekiti Airport. He said if anyone is found guilty, they will face justice either now or later. He reminded his brother Ayodele Fayose that he’s not scared of going to jail and is ready to face anything for the truth. According to him, government officials should be ready to answer questions about how public funds are spent.
