Today, May 7, 2025, should have been a joyful day for Nollywood actor Junior Pope. It would have been his 45th birthday. But instead of celebration, his wife, Jennifer Awele, shared a heartfelt tribute filled with love, sadness, and beautiful memories.

Jennifer posted an emotional video on Instagram showing Junior Pope playing happily with their children. In her message, she said, “I’m not surprising you with birthday gifts this year… but my heart still beats with yours.” Her words touched many, showing how deeply she still feels connected to him.

She also remembered a sweet moment from back in 2010 when Junior Pope first told her about his birthday. He had said it was “the last day in the first week of May.” That memory, once cheerful, now feels heavy with pain as she faces this special day without him.

Junior Pope sadly lost his life on April 10, 2024, in a tragic boat accident. He was returning from a movie shoot when the incident happened. His passing came as a big shock to his fans, colleagues, and the entire Nollywood industry.

Jennifer ended her tribute with a message to her late husband. She wrote, “Happy 45th Birthday our Daddy in Heaven. Keep watching over us, Debonair.” Her love and grief were deeply felt in every word.
