Nigerian comedian Bayegun Oluwatoyin, known by many as Woli Arole, has a strong message for everyone — “Be careful how you help people.”
The comedian recently opened up about being scammed by someone he met at a prayer mountain. According to Arole, the man seemed honest and said he needed just a small amount of money to complete his travel plans. He told Arole that his travel documents were ready, and all he needed was money for a flight ticket.
Feeling sorry for him, Arole gave him the money.
But unfortunately, the man didn’t use the money for the ticket. Instead, he spent it on something else. When Arole saw him again and asked why he hadn’t travelled, the man couldn’t give a straight answer.
This incident isn’t new to Arole. He revealed that many people have scammed him in the past by pretending to need urgent help. He shared this experience to warn others to be careful and not fall for every sad story.
He made it clear: It’s good to help people, but you must also use wisdom and ask questions before giving your money away.
