CBEX : EFCC declares Elie Bitar wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that a man named Elie Bitar is now wanted for his role in a major cryptocurrency scam linked to Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).

According to an official notice from the EFCC, Elie Bitar is a 41-year-old foreign national accused of running a fraudulent investment scheme through CBEX. The platform promised returns to investors but ended up defrauding many people across Nigeria.

The EFCC revealed that Elie Bitar’s last known address is Eng. George Enemoh Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State. He is currently on the run, and the Commission is asking the public for any information that could help locate him. People can report tips to any EFCC zonal office in Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Sokoto, and other major cities.

This news comes just days after the EFCC also declared four Nigerians wanted for their connection to the same CBEX Ponzi scheme. Their names are: Seyi OloyedeEmmanuel UkoAdefowora Oluwanisola, and Adefowora Abiodun Olaonipekun.

The EFCC is continuing investigations and taking steps to bring all the suspects to justice. Nigerians are advised to be cautious and avoid online platforms that promise huge returns with little or no risk.
