Tottenham Hotspur ended their contract with Postecoglou on Friday evening, as reported by DAILY POST.
On their official website, Tottenham wished the 59-year-old coach success in what comes next for him.
After leaving, Postecoglou shared a message thanking everyone who supported him during his time with Tottenham.
He had joined the club from Celtic in Scotland, signing a four-year contract.
In his statement, Postecoglou said he feels very proud when he thinks about managing Tottenham Hotspur.
He said leading one of England’s famous football teams and trying to bring back its past success is something he will always remember.
He also mentioned a special night in Bilbao, which showed the result of two years of hard work and belief in their dream.
Postecoglou believes they have built a strong base so that the club won’t have to wait another seven years to win again.
He thanked the players and staff who worked with him every day for the past two years, calling them legends of the club.
Recently, Postecoglou helped Tottenham win the Europa League final in May.
That win against Manchester United in Bilbao gave Tottenham their first big trophy in 17 years.
