Nigeria is actively fighting against drug abuse, but according to comedian I Go Save, the music industry is making the battle even harder.
In a recent post on his Instastories, the comedian, who is also a father of three, stated that the music industry is the biggest promoter of drug use among young people in Nigeria.
He expressed concern about how music influences the younger generation, encouraging them to engage in drug use. Many Nigerian songs often reference drugs, making them seem acceptable or even desirable.
As drug abuse remains a serious problem in Nigeria, many people believe that musicians should be more responsible with their lyrics and influence. The question remains—should the music industry take more action to discourage drug use among the youth?
‘’The Music industry are sadly the largest
promoters of the use of Drûg$ to our younger generations
This has to stop Now”
