Annie Idibia, wife of Nigerian music star 2Baba, opened up about a heartbreaking experience on a recent episode of the reality TV show Young, Famous and African. She shared that last year, she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins. Despite already being a mother of two, Annie said the loss was still very difficult for her to cope with.
The actress also revealed that it was hard for her to speak about the miscarriage. She admitted that she struggled to share her grief with others and kept the pain to herself. Only her husband, 2Baba, and her mother knew about what she had gone through. She shared, “I wasn’t even sure if I could share this with any of my friends. It’s only Innocent and my mum that knew about it.”
Annie mentioned that the loss was especially tough because she had been excited about the pregnancy, wishing she could have shared the news with her friends before the miscarriage happened. She added, “I was pregnant with twins, but I had a miscarriage. I wish I had someone to tell me in this group that I’m pregnant. I would be having a baby, and then we lost that. It was hard.”
This personal revelation came in the third season of Young, Famous and African, which premiered on Netflix on January 17.
