President Bola Tinubu is set to travel to Brazil for the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit, which will be held from November 18 to 19 in Rio de Janeiro. The summit brings together leaders from the world’s largest economies, including the European Union and African Union. It’s hosted by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who is currently leading the G20.
This trip comes just days after President Tinubu’s visit to Saudi Arabia. At the G20 Summit, discussions will revolve around critical global challenges such as tackling hunger and poverty, reforming global governance institutions, and promoting sustainable development and energy transition.
President Tinubu will also hold bilateral meetings with other leaders to advance Nigeria’s socio-economic reforms. He is accompanied by key Nigerian officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and the Ministers of Livestock Development, Art, Tourism, and Food Security, among others.
The summit’s theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,” highlights the shared responsibility of world leaders in shaping a better future for all.
