Lagos State Government Issues Safety Warning to Residents

As the year draws to a close, Mr. Lanre Mojola, the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, is calling on all Lagosians to be extra cautious about their safety, especially as the weather gets hotter and drier.

Mr. Mojola reminded everyone that safety should always come first. He emphasized that as long as there is life, there is hope, making it clear that we must protect our well-being to have a brighter future.

With the current heat and dry conditions, it’s easy to become dehydrated, feel tired, or even develop health problems like high fever and blurry vision. These conditions can be harmful, so it’s important to stay alert and take care of your health.

The Safety Commission is also warning against actions that could lead to accidents, such as smoking in public places or storing flammable materials like fuel at home, in shops, or stalls. These actions can cause fires and put lives in danger.

To stay safe, Mr. Mojola urged everyone to be mindful of their surroundings and support the government’s efforts to keep the community safe. Whether you’re at home, at work, or out in public, it’s important to stay safety-conscious to avoid accidents.
