Caretaker committee hails defection of two Imo Reps to APP

The caretaker committee of the All Progressives Party (APP) has welcomed the defection of two members of the House of Representatives from Imo State into its fold.

In a statement released shortly after the announcement, the committee described the move as a major boost for the party’s growing influence ahead of future political contests.

According to the leadership, the lawmakers’ decision reflects increasing confidence in the party’s vision and commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots development.

The committee also noted that the entry of the two lawmakers will strengthen the party’s presence in the National Assembly and improve its ability to contribute to national discussions.

Party officials praised the defectors for what they called a bold and progressive step, adding that more politicians are expected to join the APP in the coming months.
