The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested eight suspected members of a ‘one-chance’ robbery syndicate operating in Abuja, recovering 21 mobile phones and three laptops.

The arrests followed an investigation into the alleged robbery of a woman who reportedly boarded a taxi at AYA Roundabout in Abuja.

According to the police, the operation led to the recovery of 21 mobile phones and three laptops, including a device belonging to the victim.

The Command said investigations into the case are ongoing, adding that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The development underscores ongoing efforts by the FCT Police Command to tackle ‘one-chance’ robberies and enhance public safety across the nation’s capital.
