The Kano State Government has cautioned supporters of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to avoid making offensive or provocative remarks against Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement. The warning was issued by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director General of Media and Publicity at Government House, during a motorcycle distribution event attended by the governor.
Bature emphasised that the government would not tolerate disrespect or indiscipline toward Kwankwaso, noting his lasting contributions to Kano politics despite recent political shifts. He warned that any supporter found insulting the former presidential candidate would face sanctions.
The government spokesperson urged supporters to demonstrate political maturity and restraint, particularly amid rising tensions from recent defections and realignments in the state. Bature stressed that personal attacks over political differences undermine unity and stability.
He further reminded party members that respect for leadership and internal discipline are essential to maintaining political stability and good governance, urging everyone to focus on peaceful and constructive engagement.
