American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris on Friday following a fight at the prestigious Georges V hotel. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the incident began when a security guard intervened to stop an altercation between Scott and his bodyguard. In response, Scott reportedly became violent, leading to his arrest by the local police.
As of now, it remains unclear whether the 33-year-old rapper is still in custody. This arrest adds to a string of recent legal troubles for Scott, including a June arrest in Miami Beach for trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
Scott was in Paris attending the Olympic men’s basketball semi-finals the night before the incident. Known for his chart-topping album “Utopia,” which was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards, Scott has also made waves in the business world. He’s struck lucrative deals with companies like Nike, video game creator Epic Games, and fast-food giant McDonald’s.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Scott is widely recognized for his relationship with Kylie Jenner, with whom he shares two children.
