The Kebbi State Government has appealed to Nigerians to join them in nationwide prayers following the recent abduction of schoolgirls in the state. Officials described the situation as heartbreaking and said the state has turned to spiritual intervention while security agencies continue their rescue efforts. They added that the safety of the children remains the highest priority.

According to the government, the incident has created fear and anxiety among parents and communities. They explained that although security operatives are working round the clock, the state believes prayers are needed to strengthen the fight against kidnappers. Leaders encouraged both Christians and Muslims to pray for the quick and safe return of the girls.

The state also revealed that it is cooperating closely with the Federal Government and military authorities to track the criminals. They said more troops and resources have been deployed to affected areas. However, the government admitted that the rising cases of school abductions show the urgent need for stronger security measures across the country.
