US threat: God using Trump to reset brains of Nigerian leaders – Pastor Giwa

Pastor Adewale Giwa of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry has said that God could be using former U.S. President Donald Trump to push Nigerian leaders to take their responsibilities seriously. Reacting to Trump’s recent warning of possible U.S. military action against terrorists in Nigeria, Pastor Giwa noted that many Nigerians are not opposed to foreign help due to the worsening insecurity situation.

He argued that only those who benefit from insecurity and corruption would reject such intervention. According to him, Nigerians have been pleading for safety for years without meaningful response from those in power. The cleric added that corruption and poor governance remain major problems, claiming that government institutions fail ordinary citizens while political leaders prosper.

Pastor Giwa also criticised Nigeria’s founding leaders, saying they rushed into independence for their own benefit rather than the welfare of the people. He stressed that Nigeria once functioned better under colonial rule than it does today, calling on current leaders to prioritize citizens’ needs and restore the nation’s dignity.

He urged Trump not to back down from pressuring corrupt and selfish actors in Nigeria, insisting that real change is needed to save the country from worsening insecurity and hardship.
