“I’m not going to run from my past” Actor Charlie Sheen opens up about s£xual encounters with men for the first time

Charlie Sheen has decided to stop hiding parts of his life and is opening up about his past, including intimate experiences with men.

The Hollywood star is sharing his story in two new projects — his memoir The Book of Sheen, which will be released on September 9, and a Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen, coming out on September 1.

Sheen explained that after years of relationships with women, he wanted to try something different. He says he is no longer ashamed of those experiences and has chosen to embrace them instead of running away.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, he admitted, “I’m not going to run from my past or let it control me.”

In the documentary, Sheen described finally talking openly about his encounters with men as “liberating.” He explained that nothing dramatic happened after he told the truth, and it simply felt freeing to be honest about it.

The actor revealed that these encounters started while he was using crack cocaine. At first, he questioned why it happened, but over time, he accepted it as part of his story. Some moments were unusual, he admitted, but others were fun, and he learned to move on with life.

During this period, Sheen contracted HIV, something he tried to keep private for a long time. Some of his partners discovered his medication, took photos, and used it to blackmail him.

At first, he paid them to keep quiet, but eventually, he came forward publicly in 2015. Sheen maintains that he never passed the virus on to anyone.

With his upcoming book and documentary, Sheen says his goal is to tell his truth without censoring anything. He even joked that he included only the stories he could remember.

He also explained that in the past eight years, he has worked on making amends to those he hurt while struggling with addiction, but he does not want to be portrayed as a victim, saying, “It takes two to tango.”

These days, Sheen lives a much quieter life away from the spotlight. After two rocky divorces from Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, he has been single for years.

He admits his romantic life has been uneventful, but he is still open to love again, though he has no interest in marriage.
