The Lagos State Police Command has officially confirmed that they have arrested social media activist and critic, Scott Iguma.

According to a statement shared on the morning of July 17 by the police spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Scott is expected to appear before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi today. He is facing a total of ten charges.

The charges were not however specified.

‘’Scott Iguma will be arraigned on a 10-count charge at the Federal High Court Ikoyi this morning, July 17, 2025.”the statement read

Scott, who is known for speaking out against real estate companies he accuses of fraud, was taken into custody on Wednesday, July 16.

After his arrest, a post appeared on his social media page from his supporters. They claimed that a real estate firm arranged his arrest because of the critical remarks he made about them online.
