A Nigerian man is currently heartbroken and confused after his wife, whom he helped travel to the United Kingdom, filed for divorce just six months after relocating.
He revealed that he spent a total of ₦30 million to sponsor her move abroad. This included visa fees, flight tickets, accommodation, and settling expenses in the UK. He believed this investment would benefit both of them in the future.
Unfortunately, after settling in the UK, the woman started behaving differently. She became distant and eventually filed for divorce. The man said he felt betrayed and now wants to know what legal steps he can take to protect his financial interest.
He’s now appealing to lawyers and the public for advice. He’s worried he may not be able to recover any of the money he spent and is also dealing with emotional pain from the situation.
