Iranian Missiles Hit Israel After US Strikes On Iran Nuclear Sites (Photos)

Iran launched several missiles at Israel just hours after the United States bombed some of Iran’s major nuclear locations.

Loud blasts were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Sunday after Israel’s military said missiles were coming from Iran. Air defense systems were quickly activated in response.

Warning sirens went off in several Israeli cities. According to emergency services and news outlets, at least 20 people were hurt during the attacks.

Police in Israel said fragments from the missiles landed near Haifa, a northern port city. Local officials said emergency teams were on their way to the area.

Iran has often targeted three main areas in Israel — Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Beersheba — in recent missile strikes.

Israel has tight rules about reporting military attacks. However, the country has confirmed that at least 50 missile hits have happened across Israel since the war started on June 13. So far, 25 people have died.

Iran warned of serious consequences after former US President Donald Trump said American strikes had destroyed Iran’s nuclear sites in Isfahan, Fordow, and Natanz.

Iran’s Nuclear Safety Centre and the UN’s nuclear agency, the IAEA, said radiation levels have not gone up after the US attacks.

The latest reports from Israeli health officials say up to 20 people were injured in the recent missile strikes.
