Sallah: Full Text of Tinubu’s Eid-el-Kabir message to Nigerians

As Muslims in Nigeria and around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, President Bola Tinubu has shared a message of hope and encouragement. He asked Nigerians to be patient and strong, assuring them that the hardest days are now behind.

Although the road has not been easy, he said the country is starting to see positive results from the reforms his administration has put in place. President Tinubu began by congratulating Muslims at home and abroad. He explained that Eid-el-Kabir is a special time in the Islamic calendar, filled with opportunities for worship and doing good.

He said it’s also a moment to thank God for His many blessings, both as individuals and as a nation. While the festival brings joy and celebration, Tinubu reminded Nigerians that its deeper meaning is about sacrifice, devotion, and caring for others.

These are the values shown by Prophet Ibrahim and taught by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and he encouraged everyone to follow their examples. He added that Eid also reminds us to be strong, kind, and committed to building a better Nigeria. Tinubu thanked Nigerians for staying hopeful and supportive, even in tough times.

He said their patience and unity are beginning to bring positive results. He assured everyone that the most difficult part of the journey is over and that the country is now entering a new chapter of hope and progress.

Even though there’s still a long way to go, he urged Nigerians not to give up. According to him, the reforms are beginning to take effect, and more people will soon feel the benefits. The President made it clear that there are no quick fixes, but his administration is focused on making long-lasting changes that will fix the economy properly.

He said the government’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” is designed to improve the lives of all Nigerians. During this festive period, he asked everyone to show love, generosity, and care for one another, no matter their religion or background.

Tinubu also spoke about the recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State, which caused deaths and serious damage. He asked Nigerians to pray for those who lost their lives and support efforts to help those affected.

He also called for prayers for security officers who risk their lives to keep the country safe. In addition, he asked for prayers for Nigeria’s leaders and for peace around the world. He said this special time should be used to ask God for guidance and blessings.

As he ended his message, Tinubu encouraged Nigerians who have more to support those in need. He said the values of faith, sacrifice, and unity should bring everyone closer. He wished for the blessings and joy of Eid to grow in the lives of all Nigerians and asked God to accept their prayers and worship.
