A 21-year-old woman named Precious Anegbode has been arrested by the Lagos State Police for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Damilola, to death in Ijegun, Lagos.

According to reports, Precious visited Damilola at his house on a Friday in April 2025. During her visit, the two of them got into a heated argument.

Witnesses said the disagreement turned into a physical fight. A neighbor shared that they heard shouting from the apartment before Precious allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Damilola.

One resident, who chose to stay anonymous, told Punch that they rushed to the scene after hearing loud cries from the woman. When they entered the room, they found Damilola lying motionless on the floor.

Another neighbor explained that some people quickly took Damilola to the hospital while others stopped Precious from escaping. Sadly, doctors confirmed that Damilola had already passed away when they arrived at the hospital.

After the incident, the matter was reported to the police, who came to the scene and arrested Precious.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the case. He said the incident was reported around 11:30 a.m. on the same day.

He explained that the police from Igando Division responded immediately. Later, they found out the case happened in another jurisdiction, so it was handed over to officers from Isheri Oshun.

The police visited the crime scene, took pictures, collected the blood-stained knife, and gathered other evidence. Precious also reportedly confessed during questioning.

The case and evidence will be sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, for a more detailed investigation.
