It was a very emotional moment when the sister of Tamilore Odunsi walked on stage to receive her late sister’s nursing award during a graduation ceremony. Tamilore was a British-Nigerian student who was studying nursing in Texas.

Tamilore, only 23 years old, had been very excited about finishing her nursing studies. She even shared videos on TikTok, happily counting down to her graduation day.

Sadly, just days before she was supposed to graduate, Tamilore was tragically killed. She was stabbed by her male roommate in their Texas apartment.

The police said the man, Chester Lamar Grant, 40, had only been living with Tamilore for two months. They got into a disagreement over their pet cats, which sadly ended with her losing her life.

Even after this heartbreaking loss, Tamilore’s sister decided to honor her. She attended the graduation ceremony in Tamilore’s place.

A video from the event shows her sister accepting the nursing pin on behalf of Tamilore. After that, the presenter gave her a warm hug, leaving many in tears.
