Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo has shared the tragic news that a woman she interviewed on her podcast has taken her own life.
The woman, named Nike, faced intense criticism on social media after a clip from the interview went viral. In the clip, she admitted to using two dogs to satisfy her sexual needs.
In an emotional video posted on her Instagram on Saturday, Adebayo hinted that the harsh online reactions might have led Nike to commit suicide.
Crying, Adebayo said, “I’ve never felt like such a failure. Nike is gone. She killed herself. She was the one I interviewed, the one who talked about sleeping with dogs.”
“People saw her story, and some attacked me, claiming we made it up. I listened to her, but she never mentioned she was considering suicide. Now she’s gone.”
