Peter Obi Reacts To Killing Of Soldiers In Abia State

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential elections, strongly condemned the attack on soldiers in Abia State, where five military personnel lost their lives. He expressed deep sorrow and anger at the incident, labeling it a grim reminder of the worsening insecurity in the country.

Peter Obi stated,

“I am appalled and saddened by the attack on our brave soldiers in Abia State yesterday, resulting in the death of five soldiers.

This dastardly act remains condemnable as it is a stark reminder of the escalating insecurity and violence that has continued to plague our nation under our collective watch,” 

Obi extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers and the people of Abia State. He emphasized the urgent need for the nation to prioritize the protection of both citizens and security personnel, stressing the importance of demanding accountability and justice for their sacrifices.

“Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we owe it to them to demand accountability and justice. Obi stated

The former presidential candidate denounced the attack in no uncertain terms and urged for a prompt and thorough investigation to apprehend and punish those responsible. He stood in solidarity with Governor Alex Otti and the people of Abia State, highlighting the incident as a grim reminder of the escalating violence across the nation.

Obi called for decisive action against the ongoing brutality and bloodshed in the country, emphasizing the need for tangible measures rather than mere rhetoric or empty promises in addressing the escalating violence.
