Former presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed confidence that his party will significantly cut the votes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State during the 2027 elections.

Speaking at his residence in Kano during a meeting with stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, Kwankwaso addressed former councillors and senior special advisers who worked in his previous administration. He highlighted the importance of unity and strategy in achieving political success.

Kwankwaso credited the success of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections to the hard work of his team. According to him, their dedication pushed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the sidelines, with the party securing only 15,000 votes in Kano State.

Despite being a relatively new political party and starting its campaign late, the NNPP made significant gains during the 2023 elections. Kwankwaso emphasized that this success proved the party’s potential to grow and compete at all levels.

“Now it’s time to reduce APC’s votes,” Kwankwaso stated. “We will work hard to ensure their votes are less than 15,000 in Kano during the 2027 elections.” He urged his team and supporters to remain focused and consistent in their efforts.

He stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation, encouraging his supporters to continue building the NNPP into a dominant political force in Kano and beyond.

Kwankwaso called on his supporters to maintain their dedication, assuring them that with hard work and unity, the NNPP would achieve greater success in the upcoming elections.
