Activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has made a passionate appeal to Nigerian military generals, urging them to stop the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) from reallocating the land belonging to the late Col. Paul Ogbebor in Abuja.
The land in question has been owned by Col. Ogbebor since 1984 with proper title documents. However, it has now been declared “illegal” and reassigned to another individual under the authority of the Federal Capital Administration.
In a heartfelt statement, VeryDarkMan questioned the legality of the decision and highlighted the injustice. He noted that Col. Ogbebor was the first cadet recruit at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), and such an act against his legacy is both disrespectful and unfair.
The activist also warned that if military leaders fail to protect the rights of their late colleague, it could pave the way for similar injustices against others. He called on the generals to act swiftly, emphasizing the importance of preserving integrity and ensuring fairness in matters of property ownership.
This incident sheds light on broader issues of property rights and governance, sparking concerns about potential misuse of authority.
Activist VeryDarkMan calls on Nigerian military generals to intervene.Late Col. Paul Ogbebor’s land, legally acquired in 1984, is being reallocated by FCTA.Urgent action needed to prevent further injustices.
He posted via his social media handle: “Currently live at life camp roundabout where Nyesom Wike has authorized bulldozers to carry out injustice. I am calling on the attention of all military senior officers, Major Generals and co. It will be a disgrace and a shame to the entire Nigeria Armed forces if they let Nyesom Wike do this to someone as great as colonel Paul Ogbebor, the first Nigerian CADET OF THE NDA CODE 001,a man that carried three bullet wounds from the civil war while sacrificing for Nigeria.“I want all senior officers of the army, navy and airforce to understand that tomorrow might be their turn.“This said land that Nyesom Wike is trying to grab has a legal allocation document since 1984 and from nowhere Nyesom Wike has revoked it and allocated the land to the company that is allegedly managing his hotels in Port Harcourt. He also gave shares to Kingsley Chinda, the leader of the minority in the House of Reps….this is injustice and we will stand against it #JUSTICEFOR001”
