Actress Anita Joseph has come to the defense of Nigerian singer Davido after his comments about the state of Nigeria’s economy stirred up controversy.

In a post shared on her Instagram stories, Anita Joseph responded to the criticism, explaining that if Davido had claimed that Nigeria’s economy was doing well, people would have attacked him even more. She suggested that critics would have said he only made that statement because of his wealth and privileged position, not understanding the struggles faced by many Nigerians.

Anita urged people to leave Davido alone, stressing that he was simply being honest about the situation. According to her, his comment was not meant to discourage anyone but was just a reflection of the reality of Nigeria’s current economic state.
