Alex Iwobi has been named in the 2026 Football Black List, recognising his influence in British football beyond the pitch.

The Football Black List celebrates Black individuals making meaningful contributions to the sport, especially those inspiring future generations.

Iwobi earned his place through his Project 17 initiative, which focuses on youth empowerment and community development.

The midfielder, who plays for Fulham FC, has been praised for using his platform to support young people and create positive change.

The initiative, backed by the Premier League, was founded by Leon Mann and Rodney Hinds in 2008.

Iwobi and other honourees will be celebrated at a ceremony in Westminster, as he also prepares with the Nigeria national team for upcoming matches.
