I cried, Jesus, where are you?’ — Judikay opens up on sixth miscarriage

Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed that she suffered her sixth miscarriage in February 2025, sharing the emotional and physical trauma she experienced.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, she described how mild discomfort quickly turned into severe bleeding, signaling the loss of her pregnancy after surpassing three months.

“I cried and shouted while the baby was removed. Everyone would ask, and I would say God gets the glory,” Judikay said, highlighting the initial attempt to remain strong despite her grief.

The singer underwent a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure at the hospital after doctors diagnosed a missed miscarriage.

She explained that nights were particularly difficult, often filled with deep sorrow and moments of asking, “Jesus, where are you?” as she processed her loss.

Judikay married Anselem Opara in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022, with her music career featuring hits like “More Than Gold” and “Songs of Angel: Ndimozi Binigwe.”
