Worst thing that happened to Nigeria’ – VDM blasts Tinubu over soaring fuel prices

Popular social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has strongly criticized the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the continued rise in petrol prices across the country. His reaction followed reports that fuel prices have climbed above ₦1,000 per litre in several parts of Nigeria.

In a viral reaction online, VeryDarkMan described the current administration as the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria. He argued that the removal of fuel subsidy has worsened the economic hardship faced by many Nigerians.

The commentator also said he had earlier warned Nigerians in 2023 that the subsidy removal policy could lead to serious economic difficulties. According to him, the situation in the country today is worse than before the policy was introduced.

VeryDarkMan further criticized the government’s handling of issues in the education sector. He mentioned reports of Nigerian students on scholarships stranded abroad, especially in Morocco, claiming that the sector is facing serious challenges.

He questioned what happened to the funds saved from the subsidy removal and accused the government of poor economic management. His comments have sparked debates online among supporters and critics of the government.

The social media figure also warned that continued economic hardship could lead to deeper national problems if urgent solutions are not introduced to improve the living conditions of citizens.
