Tinubu commissions projects in Ogun

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited Ogun State on Saturday to commission a series of important development projects aimed at boosting the state’s economy and infrastructure. The visit marked a major milestone for ongoing initiatives led by the state government.

One of the highlights of the event was the inauguration of the Gateway International Airport located in Iperu. Alongside this, the president also officially unveiled Gateway Air, a new aviation initiative that includes a fleet of aircraft intended to improve air connectivity in the region.

The commissioning ceremony also featured the distribution of electric bikes, part of efforts to promote cleaner and more sustainable transportation options. These initiatives are expected to support mobility while reducing environmental impact.

In addition, Tinubu commissioned a 30-megawatt Independent Power Plant located in Onijanganjangan near Ewekoro. The project was developed under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun and is expected to improve electricity supply within the state.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Governor Dapo Abiodun and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, highlighting the significance of the projects and their expected impact on economic growth and development in Ogun State.
