The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that American forces have struck close to 2,000 targets in Iran since the joint U.S.-Israel offensive began. Admiral Brad Cooper said the operation aims to weaken Iran’s military capacity and protect American interests in the region.
According to the update, more than 2,000 munitions were used, targeting air defence systems, ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones. The military also claimed that 17 Iranian warships were destroyed within the first 100 hours of the campaign.
Among the reported targets was what officials described as Iran’s most operational submarine. Cooper stated that no Iranian naval vessel is currently active in key waterways such as the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman.
The large-scale offensive has further increased tensions in the Middle East, with Iran reportedly launching missiles at U.S. bases in Gulf states. However, independent verification of the full extent of the damage remains limited.
