A 43-year-old man, Lateef Suleiman, has been arrested in Sepeteri, Oyo State, for allegedly bludgeoning his elder brother, Mustapha Amidu, to death with a heavy rock. The suspect claimed he attacked his brother because he dreamt that Mustapha had shot him.

The incident occurred in Saki East Local Government Area, and the victim was rushed to Ileri Oluwa Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police confirmed that Suleiman fled the scene but was later apprehended and confessed to the crime.

The Oyo State Police Command is conducting a thorough investigation, with the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). Authorities assured the public that justice will be served according to the law.

The police spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, urged citizens to remain calm and allow the legal process to take its course while warning that such violent actions will not be tolerated.
